Cool Earth is a charity that works alongside the indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction.
Over the last 40 years, half of the world's rainforests have been destroyed. Cool Earth are protecting over 500,000 acres of forest that lie directly in the path of chainsaws and bulldozers by putting indigenous people back in control of the rainforest.
Cool Earth works alongside 113 villages across the world, building better incomes, schools and clinics to provide the resources needed to keep the forest intact. What's more is that the forest saved forms a shield to make neighbouring rainforest inaccessible to loggers, saving millions of acres of additional forest.
Wintercomfort supports men and women in Cambridge who are homeless or vulnerably housed by offering them vital welfare service and opportunities for learning and development.
